Musical Mastery, United at the Piano

The following press reviews reflect the artistic depth and musical unity with which Yaara Tal and Andreas Groethuysen shaped their concerts on April 8, 2025 in Freiburg and on April 10, 2025 in Mönchengladbach.

“Yaara Tal delivered a wonderfully sparkling and sensitive interpretation of the deceptively challenging original in C major. Groethuysen, whose spoken introduction included the warning ‘This is definitely not for Mozart purists,’ contributed those somewhat shrewd additions we owe to the creative Norwegian Edvard Grieg: the playful, stylistically not entirely appropriate embellishments come across like a musical soft-focus filter – at times like music with built-in commentary.”

“The duo, technically beyond any doubt, captivated from the very first bar with their interpretative unity and a touch that was evenly balanced down to the finest nuance. However, this did not result in any sonic monotony – both performers gave each other space for dominant harmonic or rhythmic turns.”
